Hiya,

We're not a Manchester Mountain Bike Club, we're a Manchester Mountain Bike Collective. Subtle difference huh?

We use this forum to organise mountain bike rides, post up pictures of mountain bike rides, start mountain bike revolutions, inspire each other with mountain biking poetry of immense beauty, and that sort of thing.

We ride our bikes predominantly in the Dark Peak, South Pennines and Calderdale, but also regularly ride in the Lakes, Dales, North Wales, Spain, the Atlantic, space etc. Plus there is the odd foray into dedicated bike centres such as Coed Y Brenin, Llandegla etc etc.

We do regular night rides, 2 big day out rides per month (one slightly less big than the other - both gnarly stuff), and generally there's also stuff going on most weekends and even during the week on an ad hoc basis.

We're not a formal mountain bike club with insurance etc, and riders ride at their own risk obviously. This forum simply puts like minded mountain bikers in touch to nail rides and so on.

And yes, the band with the same name came after us in case you were wondering. But not the night club - that was way before us.
